Nothing stated in this Privacy Policy is intended to, nor will it, establish a client-attorney relationship with the persons reading it. Information provided to us in the course of any attorney-client relationship enjoys a unique status and may be protected by confidentiality, the attorney-client privilege, the attorney work product doctrine and other similar protections. Nothing in this Privacy Policy will detract from any of the protections that attach to such information.

The Law Offices of Shaun Spector, PLLC (the “Firm”) uses commercially reasonable practices in order to protect the privacy of those who visit or use the Website. The Website is not intended to be accessed or used outside of the United States. Also, the Website and services provided by the Firm are not designed to appeal to children under the age of thirteen (13) and are intended for use by adults over the age of eighteen (18). Therefore not attempt has be or will be made to solicit, receive or collect any information from children, and children should not use the Website or services provided at any time. By accessing or using the Website or the Firm's services, you are consenting to how your information is collected, shared and otherwise used as described in this Privacy Policy. You should also know the Firm is committed to securing its systems and the protection of your and their data.

What This Privacy Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy covers how the Firm collects, processes, uses and stores data from clients and visitors to ShaunSpectorLaw.com, (the “Website”). It does not cover the privacy practices of third parties that the Firm does not own or control. Any interaction with the Website or any services that you request or that are provided by the Firm are referred to in this Privacy Policy, collectively, as the “Services.” Clients should also refer to any other agreements, such as engagement agreements in place, including any additional terms, which may provide additional terms governing how Services are provided. By visiting or interacting with the Website, you are affirmatively accepting the practices and terms described herein. 

This privacy policy applies to information collected: 

On the Website. 

In email, text, posts, and other electronic messages between you and the Website or Firm employees or personnel. 

 

It does not apply to information collected:

Offline or through any other means, including on any other Website operated by or for any third party; or 

By any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or on the Website.

 

The Firm may provide third party content or links to third-party websites or applications. When you leave the Website or interact with a third-party feature, you should also read the applicable third party’s privacy policies and terms of service to make sure you understand how they might collect and share information about you, as we have no control over their activity and it may differ from the Firm’s.

 

What Information is Collected

 

Some of the main ways the Firm collects information about you: when you provide it, with automatic technologies, and when the Firm asks others for it.

 

Information You Provide

You may provide information to the Firm in various ways, such as through forms, features or other means. The types of information you provide us fits into two general categories:

 

Personal Information: This is information that identifies you personally, such as full name, street address, email address, or phone number.

 

Non-Personal Information: This is information about your household that doesn’t identify anyone personally.

When information that isn’t Personal Information (like Non-Personal Information or Usage Information, which we explain below) is combined with Personal Information, it is treated like Personal Information for as long as it is combined.

 

To Provide our Services: Information collected may be used to provide services to you and improve or enhance the Website.

This Log Information may also include things like your IP address, browser or device configuration, date and time of access and cookie information.

Location Information. Information like your IP address or other Device Information or Log Information to estimate your location (e.g., your city or state).

 

Information Third Parties Provide About You

 

Some of features may rely on information about you collected from third parties.

 

How Information Collected is Used

 

The Firm may need to use the information collected from you and third parties to operate and provide services to you, communicate with you.

 

For legal reasons. The Firm reserves the right to access, use, preserve, transfer or disclose, at any time without notice to you, any information (including Personal Information) as reasonably necessary to:

Comply with any applicable law, regulation, subpoena or legal process, or respond to any governmental requests and cooperate with law enforcement, if we believe such action is required or permitted by law;

 

Protect the safety, integrity, rights or security of the Firm; or

 

Detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.

 

When We Share the Information We Collect

 

The Firm may sometimes share your personal data with third parties where it is required to do so by law or any regulatory authority, where it is necessary to administer the relationship between us or where we have another legitimate interest in doing so. “Third parties” includes clients (in the course of providing our services) courts or other judicial or official bodies (for example in the context of providing our services or where the Firm is asked to respond to an order or other binding request), regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies (for example where necessary for any investigations or to respond to inquiries in relation to our compliance with applicable law or regulations or in connection with criminal investigations)  or where otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. "Third parties" also includes third party service providers and external agencies engaged on on your behalf (or clients or you engage), including to provide you with information that you have requested (for example IT and data storage services, professional advisory services (such as accounting services, expert consulting services), word-processing, translation, duplication and other administration services, marketing services and banking services). The Firm may also share your personal data with other third parties, for example in the context of the possible sale, merger or other restructuring of any of its businesses.

Where the Firm engages third party service providers to carry out certain business functions, there will be an agreement with such third party service provider where required, which will restrict how they are able to process your personal information and impose appropriate security standards on them.

 

The Firm may disclose your personal data in order to protect its rights or property or those of its clients or others; including exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud prevention, compliance with professional responsibility and other regulatory requirements, compliance with anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing and ‘know your client’ requirements, and credit risk reduction.

 

Where your personal data is shared or transferred with third parties, it will be done in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will take appropriate safeguards to ensure its integrity and protection.

Interest-Based Advertisement Practices

Advertising Service Providers

Some third-party service providers or partners are advertising networks, marketing partners, publishers and other entities who perform analytics and advertise our products and services on websites not affiliated with us (“Advertising Service Providers”). In connection with these advertising services, the Firm or its Advertising Service Providers, may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect behavioral information about how you use the Website or other websites in order to perform tracking and marketing analytics or serve advertisements that are more likely to be of interest to you (“Interest-Based Advertisements”). Advertising Service Providers may permit you to opt out of all or some Interest-Based Advertisements on designated websites.

Disclosure Regarding Google Analytics Advertising Features

In addition to services from other Advertising Service Providers, the Firm may use Google Analytics Advertising Features as part of its marketing analytics and advertising. Some may include re-marketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, DoubleClick Platform integrations and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. It may also use other services provided by Google Analytics from time to time. At present, Google provides users an opportunity to opt-out of the Google Analytics Features through Google’s Ads Settings and their web browser opt-out plugin. However, the Firm does not control these opt outs, which may be updated or removed by Google in accordance with its own policies.

Do Not Track Signals

the Firm does not respond to automated signals regarding tracking mechanisms, including “do not track” instructions from your browser. Please note that blocking cookies may affect your browsing experience on many sites and may limit your ability to use certain features of the Website. 

Security Practices And Social Security Protection Policy Statement

 

The Firm maintains physical, electronic, administrative and procedural safeguards intended to protect the confidentiality of personal information that we collect about you. It limits access to help protect against loss or misuse.

Changes To the Privacy Policy

 

The Firm reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice to you. The Firm will promptly make

an updated Privacy Policy publicly available on the Website. Changes will be effective as soon as the revised Privacy Policy is posted unless otherwise stated.

 

Your Choices/Opt-Out 

 

You may decline to provide personal information and/or refuse cookies in your browser, although some of our features or services may not function properly as a result. By providing information to the Firm or interacting with the Website, you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of such personal information in the manner described in this privacy policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by following the procedure described in this Choice/Opt-Out provision.
